Four arrested during Lake Elsinore ‘Quality of Life Operation’

Four people were arrested following a quality of life operation in Lake Elsinore aimed at combating retail theft at a local retail business the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department announced Wednesday, April 16.

Deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s– Lake Elsinore Robbery-Burglary Suppression Team and Special Enforcement Team conducted the operation at a retail business located in the 18000 block of Collier Avenue, the news release said.

“The purpose of the operation was to identify and arrest theft offenders,” Sgt. Robert Thomas said in the release. “Deputies partnered with local retailers and loss prevention staff during the operation, which resulted in the arrests of four suspects for various criminal charges.”

Lake Elsinore residents Irma Natera, 72, Frank Kelly, 49 and Chalston Lopez, 33 were all arrested for shoplifting and Andrew Galvan, 33, also of Lake Elsinore was arrested for shoplifting and possession of drug paraphernalia. The four were booked into the Cois M. Byrd Detention Center and all the stolen property was recovered.
