The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department is warning residents to be wary of bank jugging incidents, where criminals steal money from victims exiting their bank branch or visiting an ATM. According to the Department, bank jugging is when criminals follow people from the bank to steal their money, either by breaking into their car or physically robbing them. This usually happens when the cash is visible after leaving the bank or ATM.
