In a stunning display of skill and finesse, Hannah Green once again captured the hearts of golf enthusiasts worldwide, successfully defending her title at the JM Eagle LA Championship presented by Plastpro. The event, held at the picturesque yet challenging Wilshire Country Club from April 25–28, 2024, ended in a triumphant victory for Green, marking her fifth LPGA Tour win and her second for the year.

Green’s performance was nothing short of spectacular, especially during the crucial back-nine stretch where she twice holed out from off the greens, showcasing not just her impeccable skill but also her ability to perform under pressure. This victory was particularly sweet for Green, who expressed how this win stood out due to the nature of her lead in the final holes. “I’ve never been able to win having a lead into the last hole like that, so it is nice to be able to get it done earlier in the round,” Green shared, reflecting on the nerves and excitement that came with Sunday’s round.

With the tournament purse set at a staggering $3,750,000, the stakes could not have been higher. Heading into the final round tied at -7 with Grace Kim, Green managed to pull ahead with a final round score of 66, bringing her tournament score to a winning -12 (272 for the tournament), and finishing three strokes ahead of runner-up Maja Stark (275 for the tournament).

The event started with a field of 144 players, including the talented former Murrieta resident Bianca Pagdanganan, showcasing the depth and competitiveness of the tour. With this win, Green not only cements her status as one of the top talents on the LPGA Tour but also builds on her legacy with another memorable performance at the Wilshire Country Club.

The LPGA tour will now move forward to New Jersey for the Cognizant Founders Cup, to be held from May 9-12, and if this tournament is anything to go by, golf fans are in for an exhilarating season. Hannah Green’s remarkable triumph at the JM Eagle LA Championship is a testament to her skill, determination, and the dynamic energy she brings to the game—qualities that will undoubtedly make her one to watch in the tournaments to come.
