When babies are born, they start their tiny lives utterly dependent on milk. Most won’t touch baby food for the first six months of their lives. But as they grow, their ability to eat solid food grows.  Before too long, they’re eating two double-doubles, a large fry and a classic Coke to chase it down with.  Often, God uses the natural parts of our lives to point us to a spiritual truth. For instance, how awkward would it be if, at the age of 16 or 37, you sat down to drink a bottle in front of your friends when you should be eating steak? Very awkward. The same goes for our spiritual lives. We should move beyond the spiritual milk to a more solid spiritual diet. At some point, we should outgrow the milk stage of our spiritual walk.
