Nature Education Foundation at the Santa Rosa Plateau presents awards and a teachers grant at membership mingle

Teachers and Santa Rosa Plateau Ecological Reserve docents were given special recognition and a small education grant by the Nature Education Foundation at the Santa Rosa Plateau during a membership mingle Wednesday, June 26 at the Plateau.Winning the NEF’s annual Spirit of Gordon House Docent of the Year Award was Alison Hayes for her outstanding work explaining the need for the Plateau’s Reserve to visitors and students as a volunteer.Science teachers Jonathon Jobe and Lena Van from the Nuview Bridge Early College HIgh School secured a NEF special education project grant. Jobe and Van set up special environmental preservation programs at the academy through the NEF. The grant totalled $3,000 so they might add more
