Temecula adopts FY25 Annual Operating Budget and the largest five-year FY25-29 Capital Improvement Program Budget in the history of the city

TEMECULA – The City of Temecula City Council recently approved Temecula’s FY25 $99.2M Annual General Fund Operating Budget (AOB) and five-year FY25-29 $927.2M Capital Improvement Program Budget (CIP); both are effective July 1, 2024. Temecula Mayor James Stewart states, “54% of the City’s $99.2M Annual Operating Budget expenditures will be dedicated to public safety, which is the highest priority for Temecula.” Stewart adds, “Police protection is increasing by 4.6% and includes 117 sworn Deputies plus 18 Community Service Officers, surpassing the City’s longstanding target staffing ratio outlined in the City’s General Plan and Quality of Life Master Plan.” The FY25 Annual Operating Budget also includes staffing levels of four firefighters per fire engine with a total of
