California family’s tragic road trip ends in train collision, leaving two dead and two hospitalized

The Culver family from Menifee suffered an unimaginable tragedy on Sunday, July 14, when their minivan was struck by a northbound train outside Cookeville, Wyoming, near the Utah border, killing Aulai, the mother and 12-year-old daughter Lily. The family of four was en route to Yellowstone National Park for a vacation when they attempted to bypass a temporary road closure by driving on a railroad right-of-way.
