Miles Fire burns 23 acres, causes evacuations

Evacuations were ordered and structures were immediately in danger from the Miles Fire in Alberhill, near Glen Eden Sun Club. At least one nearby school was being let out and parents were meeting students for pick up. The fire was reported at 12:45 pm in the 12400 block of Beardsley Rd.

The fire was reported to be at least 23 acres with potential for 100 acres with moderate to heavy fuels, but fire crews made quick work of  the fire and there are no active flames as of 2pm.
The fire was under the Administration Unit of CAL FIRE Riverside Unit.

e. Sheriffs were requested from as far away as Banning to come help with evacuations.
