The Riverside County Board of Supervisors approved a construction contract with Onyx Paving Company, Inc., for sidewalk improvements to Grand Avenue in Lakeland Village.The supervisors voted 5-0 November 5 to award the Anaheim company a $1,747,000 contract for the work. The project will construct approximately 2,300 linear feet of sidewalk along the south side of Grand Avenue between Adelfa Street and Blackwell Boulevard and 1,300 linear feet along the north side of Grand Avenue between Brechtel Street and Corydon Road. The sidewalks will fill existing gaps on Grand Avenue.The work will also include construction of concrete curb and gutter, cross gutter, driveways, and asphalt concrete dike.
