EVMWD to partner with SoCal Gas on installing efficiency devices

The Eastern Municipal Water District and SoCal Gas will partner on providing EVMWD customers with high-efficiency water use devices. The EVMWD board voted 5-0 February 13 to approve a two-year direct installation program agreement with SoCal Gas. The estimated annual cost including the SoCal Gas administrative fee as well as the purchase of the devices and the labor installation expense is approximately $66,000. The program will provide residential customers with free installations of water and energy-efficient devices such as low-flow showerheads, low-flow faucet aerators, high-efficiency toilets, and smart irrigation controllers.
