TEMECULA – A Los Angeles County man suspected of stabbing another man during a domestic violence altercation in Temecula has been arrested and charged with attempted murder.

Ricardo Castro, 51, was apprehended on Monday, March 17, in Riverside, just hours after fleeing the scene of the crime. The Riverside Sheriff’s Office responded to a call at approximately 9:20 a.m. Sunday morning, reporting a stabbing on the 29000 block of Mira Loma Drive in Temecula.

When deputies arrived, they found the victim suffering from traumatic stab wounds. The individual was promptly transported to a local hospital and is currently in stable condition.

Through their investigation, authorities identified Castro as the primary suspect. Officials suggest the stabbing may have stemmed from a domestic violence dispute.

Castro was taken into custody and booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center on charges of attempted murder.
