EMWD approves Mid County Parkway utility agreements

The Eastern Municipal Water District board approved utility agreements regarding the Mid County Parkway widening.The EMWD board voted 5-0 April 2 to approve the utility agreements with the Riverside County Transportation Commission. Eastern will reimburse the RCTC $440,300 for the utility relocations.The County of Riverside and the RCTC plan to widen 8.6 miles along Ramona Expressway from west of Pico Avenue to Warren Road. The project will add one lane in each direction, which will create a four-lane corridor. The 16-mile Mid County Parkway between Interstate 215 and State Route 79 will also include a new bridge over the San Jacinto River and a wildlife crossing, a raised median to reduce the risk of head-on collisions, new and improved traffic signals at major intersections, and
