Juneteenth to be celebrated in Hemet
Black Voices of the Valley is hosting its 2nd annual Juneteenth Celebration on June 19 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Mary Henley Park in Hemet. A day of joyous celebration will be reminiscent of a family reunion as guests are invited to bring their pop-ups, chairs, and blankets to enjoy the activities and festivities that will be available.Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day or Emancipation Day, commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans in the United States.
