OCEANSIDE – Patrick Baldwin Jr. delivered a spectacular career-best performance, scoring 35 points to lead the San Diego Clippers to a decisive 129-118 victory over the Rip City Remix on Saturday night.
The Clippers (3-2) set the tone early, erupting for their highest-scoring quarter of the season to take a commanding 42-24 lead after the first period. Baldwin Jr. was instrumental from the start, contributing 12 of his points in the opening frame as the offense fired on all cylinders. San Diego shot a blistering 69% from the field in the first half, controlling the paint with 26 points and pushing the tempo for 16 fast-break points.

By halftime, the Clippers had built a 72-58 advantage. Baldwin Jr. had already amassed 21 points, while Taylor Funk provided a significant boost off the bench, draining all four of his three-point attempts for 12 first-half points.
The offensive efficiency continued into the second half. San Diego maintained a 63% field goal percentage through the third quarter and extended its lead to 107-86 heading into the final frame. Baldwin Jr. added another 10 points in the third, showing no signs of slowing down.
While the Remix (3-2) put together a late run in the fourth quarter, cutting the deficit to 11 points, the Clippers’ substantial lead proved insurmountable as they closed out the game for the win.
Baldwin Jr.’s 35 points came on an efficient 13-of-18 shooting. He was complemented by a strong supporting cast. Funk finished with 22 points off the bench, connecting on six three-pointers. The backcourt also delivered, with both starting guards recording double-doubles. TyTy Washington Jr. orchestrated the offense with 14 points and 13 assists, while Jason Preston added 18 points and tied his career high with 15 rebounds.

Center Derek Ogbeide contributed 12 points and eight rebounds, and Zach Freemantle provided a spark off the bench with a season-high 12 points. As a team, the Clippers shot 54% from the field, dominating inside with 70 points in the paint and capitalizing on transition opportunities with 44 fast-break points.
For Rip City, Blake Hinson led all scorers with 33 points. Dillon Jones filled the stat sheet with 20 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists.
The San Diego Clippers will continue their homestand this Saturday, November 29th, when they host the rival South Bay Lakers. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. PT.
