Supervisors authorize funding for Lakeland Village Sports Park foul ball netting

Lakeland Village Sports Park has two ball fields, but from time to time foul balls land outside of the field and can create a hazard to public safety. The Riverside County Board of Supervisors has initiated the process to install foul ball netting on Field 1.The supervisors voted 5-0 January 13 to add the Lakeland Village Sports Park Foul Ball Netting Project to the county’s Capital Improvement Program, approve the project in principle, and approve a preliminary project budget of $225,230.
