Fowler shares 18th at American Express tournament in La Quinta, shoots 63 in second round for day’s third-best

Rickie Fowler finished 18th at the American Express golf tournament, January 22-25 in La Quinta, and the 2007 Murrieta Valley High School graduate shot a 63 on the second day for the third-lowest score in the second round.Fowler’s 72-hole score was 269. Five other players had that score, and each earned $117,606 for their position. The golfers who finished the tournament in 269 strokes include 18-year-old Blades Brown, who set a course record with a 60-shot round January 23 on the PGA West facility’s Jack Nicklaus Course. Fowler also played the Jack Nicklaus Course that day and his 63-stroke round was the next-lowest for the course January 23 and the third-lowest among all golfers for the day.The American E
