Two people were hospitalized Tuesday afternoon following a two-vehicle collision that sparked a fire at a Jurupa Valley intersection, authorities said.
The crash was reported at 1:34 p.m. near the cross of Jurupa Road and Etiwanda Avenue, according to the Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.
Arriving firefighters found two vehicles involved in the traffic collision, with flames actively burning. Crews quickly extinguished the fire.
Two patients were transported by ground ambulance to an area hospital, fire officials said. One individual suffered moderate burn injuries, while the second person sustained moderate injuries.
The exact cause of the crash remains under investigation.
