ByRobert CarterHemet fire chief reported black smoke coming from the roof of the structure. The building appeared to be vacant. Hemet fire started roof operations till the fire was scene coming from the attic area. The Battalion Chief requested a total of 4 engines from Calfire, a Battalion Chief and 1 AMR unit and breathing support. Firefighters made forceable  entry to the furniture store adjacent to the building. To look for extension and ventilate the smoke. The fire was knocked down and firefighters remaineon scene for over hauling and pulling ceiling to look for hot spots.
The point of origin of the fire and the cause  is still being investigated
