Lake Elsinore Residential Fire Displaces Four, Destroys Three Outbuildings

Four adults have been displaced after a residential structure fire spread to multiple outbuildings and surrounding vegetation on Baker Street Friday morning.

The fire was reported at 10:16 a.m. in the 17000 block of Baker Street. Responding firefighters arrived to find a single-story residential structure involved in flames. The fire extended beyond the main home, ultimately involving three outbuildings and approximately a quarter-acre of surrounding vegetation.

Crews successfully halted the forward rate of spread of the vegetation fire shortly after arrival. According to initial reports from the scene, no injuries have been reported.

By 12:00 p.m., incident commanders stated that fire resources would remain on the scene for approximately three additional hours to conduct extensive overhaul and mop-up operations. The American Red Cross was requested to respond to the location to provide assistance to the four adults displaced by the structural damage.

The exact cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
