Firefighters responded to a large refuse fire involving several shipping containers and vehicles early Sunday morning in Good Hope.
The blaze was reported at 1:34 a.m. in the 23500 block of Highway 74. Emergency crews arrived to find multiple large shipping containers, vehicles, and piles of refuse heavily involved in fire.
The fire was successfully confined to the immediate property, preventing it from spreading to neighboring areas or surrounding brush. Firefighters are expected to remain on the scene for approximately five hours to fully extinguish the flames, monitor for hot spots, and conduct overhaul operations.
