UPDATE: ALL LANES OPEN after man taken safely from Lilac Bridge

9:35 p.m. — All lanes of Interstate 15 have reopened, according to authorities.

“The law enforcement activity along Interstate 15 at the Lilac Road Bridge has been resolved. @CHP_Oceanside has reopened all northbound and southbound lanes of the 15 to traffic. @SDSheriff would like to thank the public for their cooperation and understanding.” SDSO Watch Commander

However, all southbound lanes of I-15 remain closed because of an ongoing medical emergency. Officials have also closed Lilac Bridge to the public.

Motorists are urged to avoid the area and use alternate routes while emergency personnel respond. Authorities have not released additional details about the nature of the incident or an estimated time for reopening.
