In the event that a County of Riverside vehicle needs towing or other roadside assistance the county has contracts with several towing companies. A June 23 Riverside County Board of Supervisors action modified the contracts with the towing companies.
The 5-0 vote approved amendments to six of the towing contracts. All of the multi-year contracts which originally ended on November 30, 2029, will now end on June 30, 2029, to correspond with the end of the county’s fiscal year. The contracts awarded in January 2025 included one to Lifesaver Towing, but that Menifee company is no longer in business and the maximum annual amounts were changed for the remaining six companies.
