A late-night commercial structure fire in San Jacinto displaced one adult and three children on Friday, prompting an upgraded response from local fire crews.
Cal Fire responded to the 600 block of De Anza at 11:19 p.m. on July 31 after receiving multiple emergency reports of a blaze at a commercial property.
Upon arrival, the responding battalion chief requested additional resources to manage the incident. Firefighters successfully contained the blaze, preventing further spread.
Despite the building’s commercial designation, the fire displaced a family of four. The American Red Cross was requested to the scene to provide emergency assistance and lodging for the one adult and three children.
There were no immediate reports of casualties provided in the initial dispatch. Any individuals involved or evaluated at the scene are currently considered to have injuries of unknown severity pending an official statement from a designated public information officer.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
