Temecula City Council approves Uptown Temecula Specific Plan amendments
The Temecula City Council approved amendments to the Uptown Temecula Specific Plan.
The city council members voted 5-0 July 28 to update the specific plan. The amendments specify the sycamore subspecies to be used in landscaping, remove alternating sidewalk color and texture from the design guidelines, remove the requirement to use the Silva Cells pavement system for street trees, clarify that all modifications to a development are cumulative over the life of the project to prevent piecemealing of a project which would allow it to avoid the specific plan requirements, clarify that the city’s live entertainment ordinance also applies within the specific plan area, require bicycle parking on the ground floor at a rate of 10 percent of required or provided vehicle parking spaces, replace a
