A two-vehicle traffic collision occurred Tuesday evening at the intersection of East Benton Road and Sage Road, resulting in the transportation of one individual with injuries of unknown severity.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP) dispatch logs, the collision was first reported at 6:25 p.m.. Early details from the incident log indicated that a driver in one of the involved vehicles was possibly unresponsive. Emergency crews responded to the area, and one person was subsequently transported from the scene for medical evaluation.
The incident initially restricted traffic flow, with logs showing the vehicles were still blocking the roadway as of 6:51 p.m.. Dispatch notes also indicate that a reporting party called in the collision on behalf of their daughter, who witnessed the crash but was experiencing poor cellular reception at the location.
