Donna Mae Bradley of Anza, California, passed away July 6, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 72.
Donna was born Aug. 15, 1953, in San Diego, California, and attended San Diego High School. She was a Native American woman of the Wintu Tribe of the Redding, California, area and valued her heritage and family history.
That interest in family history led Donna to become a genealogist, preserving and exploring the stories and connections that bind generations together.
In the Anza community, Donna was also affectionately known as the “Jam Lady,” earning a reputation through her business and the homemade jams for which she became well known. Her work became part of how many people in the community knew and remembered her.
Donna shared 18 years of marriage with her husband, Mike Morrison. She is survived by Mike; her brother; two daughters; five granddaughters; and one great-granddaughter.
Her life was centered around family, heritage and the community she called home. Through her genealogy, she helped preserve the past; through her family, she leaves a legacy that will continue for generations.
Donna will be greatly missed by her husband, family, friends and all those whose lives she touched.
