Tuition-free online public school program provides TK–12 students with a proven model, dedicated teacher support, and flexible pathways for academic success during the 2026–2027 school year
TEMECULA — As California students begin the 2026-2027 school year, Connections Academy at Springs is reinforcing its commitment to high-quality, tuition-free public education. With its recent expansion into Northern California, the program now serves families across 22 counties, providing a robust, tuition-free online public school option that meets students where they are – up and down the state. As part of the award-winning Springs Charter Schools network, which has reimagined public education for over 25 years, Connections Academy at Springs is built on a foundation of proven excellence.
“Our mission statewide is to redefine what it means to go to school by fostering a child’s innate curiosity and treating the community as our classroom,” said Cynthia Rachel, Senior Director of Education. “By offering a personalized learning model that spans from the Oregon border to San Diego, we ensure that students have access to the guidance and opportunities they need to become self-motivated, competent, and lifelong learners.”
Connections Academy at Springs offers a comprehensive TK-12 curriculum aligned with California state standards. Students receive individualized instruction from California-credentialed teachers who are expertly trained in virtual instruction. This model provides the flexibility families need while maintaining the academic rigor required for future success, including A-G approved courses for college-bound students and a diverse College & Career Readiness program.
Beyond the virtual classroom, the program fosters a community through virtual clubs, semester field trips, and local meet-up opportunities, and other activities that foster connection and engagement with peers. Parents and caregivers play a vital role as Learning Coaches, partnering with educators to guide students through their personalized educational journeys.
As a statewide leader in personalized learning, the program also provides a full continuum of wrap-around services, including Special Education (operating as its own Local Educational Agency), English Learner development, and access to mental health resources.
Enrollment for the 2026–2027 school year remains open for grades K-10.
