Hardy and Harper was awarded the City of Hemet contract for the resurfacing of State Street.The Hemet City Council voted 5-0 August 11 to award a $539,000 contract to the Lake Forest company. The city manager was authorized to issue change orders up to a cumulative $53,900. The work will include approximately 189,000 square feet of grind and overlay improvements.State Street will be resurfaced from its intersection with Stetson Avenue to just south of its intersection with Chambers Street. The City of Hemet had the resurfacing in its capital improvement plan while the planned capital improvement projects of the Eastern Municipal Water District included waterline improvements along State Street between approximately Stetson Avenue and Chambers Street.
