The County of Riverside leases land from the Lake Hemet Municipal Water District for the county’s Sheriff’s substation in Mountain Center, and that lease has been renewed.A 5-0 Riverside County Board of Supervisors vote August 25 approved the new lease. The period for the renewed lease is from September 1, 2026, to August 31, 2031.The county has been leasing the 1,360 square foot property in the 56500 block of Highway 74 since 2003. The previous five-year lease was approved in 2021. The facility still meets the needs of the Sheriff's Department.Currently the county pays $1,987.73 per month to lease the premises. The monthly lease amount for the first year will be $2,007.61, and a 1 percent annual increase is included in the lease agreement.The county is responsible for
