The City of Hemet will be obtaining a new vactor truck to drain sewers within the city’s area of responsibility.The Hemet City Council voted 5-0 on September 8 to approve the purchase of a new 2028 compressed natural gas Freightliner Vactor 211-18" Combination Sewer Cleaner Truck from Haaker Equipment Company.The Water/Wastewater and Stormwater divisions of the city’s Public Works Department are responsible for the regular maintenance and inspection of the city’s wastewater collection and stormwater drainage infrastructure. Maintenance of the systems is subject to Federal, state, and regional regulatory requirements. Both divisions clear blockages and remove accumulated debris from wastewater and stormwater collection infrastructure. That work requires crews to use high-press
