The Rancho California Water District board approved a design-build contract for the Mid-Pauba Groundwater Banking Project.A 6-0 vote September 10, with John Rossi absent, authorized a $4,574,491 contract with Steve P. Rados, Inc., for the Phase 1 design and pre-construction services. Authorization for Phase 2 services will be requested separately in the future.During wet years the Mid-Pauba Groundwater Banking Project will provide approximately 5,000 acre-feet of excess imported water to recharge the Pauba Valley groundwater sub-unit. The water will be available for use during dry years to help meet potable water and agricultural demands.
