Prior to the incorporation of the City of Menifee the County of Riverside granted drainage easements to the Riverside County Flood Control and Water Conservation District. The dedications on the subdivision maps associated with the drainage easements were made to the public rather than to the flood control district exclusively, and since the easements to the county were moved to the city’s jurisdiction the flood control district no longer had clear rights.The flood control district and City of Menifee staff worked on executing quitclaim deeds to ensure that the drainage easements were granted to the Riverside County Flood Control and Water Conservation District.
