TEMECULA — The Temecula Public Cemetery District welcomed a large and diverse crowd Saturday, Dec. 13 as community members gathered to observe National Wreaths Across America Day, honoring the service and sacrifice of the nation’s veterans.The ceremony, held Saturday morning at the Temecula Public Cemetery, began with a formal program emphasizing the national mission of Wreaths Across America: to Remember the Fallen, Honor Those Who Serve, and Teach the Next Generation the value of freedom. Following the ceremony, volunteers of all ages participated in the laying of remembrance wreaths on veterans’ graves throughout the cemetery.This year’s effort focused on honoring all veterans laid to rest at the cemetery.
