The Riverside County Board of Supervisors approved the acceptance of two firefighting vehicles from the City of Temecula.The supervisors’ 5-0 vote January 27 authorized the Riverside County Fire Department to accept the donation of a 2004 aerial ladder truck and a 2006 fire engine from the City of Temecula. Both vehicles will continue to be stationed within the Temecula city limits.The City of Temecula has contracted with the Riverside County Fire Department since 1990. The most recent agreement was approved last year and is effective through June 30, 2030.The Riverside County Fire Department will use the donated ladder truck and fire engine as reserve vehicles.
