Supervisors approve Hemet-Ryan Airport lease for flight school

The Riverside County Board of Supervisors approved a lease of Hemet-Ryan Airport land for a flight school.The 5-0 vote on March 10 approved the ground lease agreement between the county and French Valley Flyers, LLC. The agreement for the 0.51-acre leasehold off of Walden Weaver Road includes development of structures at the company’s expense.The lease includes six aircraft tie-down spaces as well as the 0.51-acre portion of the 311-acre airport property. French Valley Flyers will use the premises to install a temporary modular facility and to operate a flight instruction school.
