Fire crews responded to a reported vegetation fire Monday morning in the Otay Mesa area, according to CAL FIRE/San Diego County Fire Protection District dispatch information.
The fire was reported shortly after 6:13 a.m. near 6570 Lone Star Road in Otay Mesa. Multiple ground units were assigned to the incident as crews worked to assess and contain the blaze.
Units listed as en route included Engine 37, Patrol 3322, Patrol 3324 and Water Tender 37. Battalion 3, Engine 38 and Engine 3362 were reported on scene. Several additional units had been cleared from the incident by the time of the latest update.
The incident remained listed as active as of approximately 6:56 a.m.
