Anza's Sacred Heart Catholic Church will welcome a rare Pilgrim Icon of the Sacred Heart of Jesus June 14 - 16 as local Catholics join a nationwide observance marking the United States' consecration to the Sacred Heart during the nation's 250th anniversary year.The consecration was approved by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops during its fall plenary assembly and is intended as a prayer for unity, healing and renewal throughout the country.As part of the observance, Sacred Heart Parish in Anza has been designated as an official pilgrimage site within the Diocese of San Bernardino. The designation follows approval from the Vatican after Bishop Alberto Rojas requested that parishes and schools dedicated to the Sacred Heart be recognized as special pilgrimage destinations during
