Supervisors create Horsethief Village CFD

The Riverside County Board of Supervisors created a community facilities district for a Horsethief Village tract.A 5-0 vote June 9 approved a resolution certifying the results of the election to create the CFD. The action also approved the property tax assessment to fund the CFD expenses.A community facilities district includes a special tax (sometimes known as Mello-Roos taxes due to the state legislators who authored the option for services on new development to be funded by an annual assessment) to fund the services and/or infrastructure.
