
Kim Szymanski of Anza adopted a portion of state Route 371 to honor the memory of her son Jacob and his friend who both died in an accident three and a half years ago on that section of the road.Szymanski picked up trash along the section of highway Monday, Jan. 18.“I spent about three and a half hours picking up my little 2-mile stretch of state Highway 371,” she said. “If only I could pick everything up, but so much is too close to the roadway and is considered dangerous.
