Menifee business owner and attorney Ben Diederich, currently on the Menifee Planning Commission, announced his candidacy for the District 2 seat now occupied by Councilman Matt Liesemeyer.Liesemeyer, who has served the community for the past eight years, will have his term expire Dec. 31.
