LOS ALAMITOS, CA – According to the CIF Southern Section offices, the Hemet High School boys soccer team self-reported a violation of CIF Southern Section Bylaws 504.M, 504.M(2)c, Season of Sport, and 1227, Sunday Restriction.

With this news, Hemet High School has been removed from the CIF Southern Section Division 5 Boys Soccer Championships, effective immediately.

“The CIF-SS will have no further comment on this matter,” CIF-SS admin stated in a press release.

Hemet was set to play at home against Rubidoux (Mountain Valley #3) in a wildcard match in the Division 5 playoffs. As of Wednesday, Feb. 8, it was announced that Rubidoux will now advance to move on to the play in Round One against Linfield Christian Thursday, Feb. 9, at 4 p.m. Details can also be found on the CIF-SS website at www.cifss.org.
