San Jacinto announces public design contest for official city seal

SAN JACINTO – The San Jacinto City Council announced a public design contest for the creation of an official city seal. The contest will be open through June 2.The entry must be a seal design closely identified with important local events, geography, assets, history and goals and aspirations of the city. The seal must be circular and contain the words “City of San Jacinto” and “Incorporated 1888” or “Incorporated April 9, 1888.”“What better way to embody what makes San Jacinto great than by having an official city seal designed by our own residents,” Mayor Russ Utz said. “This contest is an opportunity for San Jacinto residents to use their creativity to design a seal that will be used on official documents, activities and facilities throughout the city.”Th
