TEMECULA – South Coast Winery Resort and Spa announced its annual Grape Stomp will take place in the courtyard Sunday, Sept. 15, from 5-9 p.m. South Coast winemakers Jon McPherson and Javier Flores will be on-hand to meet and greet guests as they enjoy live music, a gourmet buffet and the Grape Stomp competition.Mike Pearson from 1024 Productions will serve as master of ceremonies. The Grape Stomp is a two-person competition, which requires one team member to be in the barrel stomping ripe grapes and the other team member to collect the stomped grape juice in a bottle. During each of six rounds of timed one minutelong stomping, the team that fills up its bottle the fastest will win two bottles of South Coast Wine and compete in a final stomp-off.
