Fall has arrived and with it the much-anticipated ninth annual Ride on the Rez, a fundraising trail ride and cowboy barbecue benefiting the Anza Valley Christian School. This year’s event is slated for Saturday, Sept. 28.Last year, 35 riders participated in the event, led by four experienced wranglers on the scenic trail along the valleys and ridges of the Cahuilla Indian Reservation. Steve Silkotch Jr., Tom Parr, Brad Bailey and Bobbie Harris guided both novices and seasoned riders along the trails.After the ride, more than 150 dinners were served to cowboys and girls, spectators and event supporters.The 2019 ride will also include the customary barbecue dinner, with prices for the dinners
