Man convicted of murder, other charges for killing and dumping woman in San Jacinto
MURRIETA (CNS) - An ex-con who abducted and gunned down a 40-year-old woman over an unpaid debt and dumped her body on a San Jacinto street was convicted today of first-degree murder and other felonies.A Murrieta jury deliberated less than a day before finding 42-year-old Traevon Denae Stewart guilty of the 2017 slaying of 40-year-old Latoya Calhoun.Along with the murder count, jurors convicted Stewart of kidnapping, attempted robbery, assault with a deadly weapon and witness intimidation, with sentence-enhancing gun and great bodily injury allegations.
