Deputies raid 2nd marijuana grow operation in Lake Elsinore

LAKE ELSINORE – An illegal marijuana grow operation was discovered at a home in Lake Elsinore, the second such discovery in as many days in the city, authorities said.After receiving complaints of possible illegal activity at a house on Via Del Renal Court, deputies served a search warrant at the home at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8 and located about 700 marijuana plants inside and an electrical system that "had been illegally altered causing a severe fire hazard," according to Sgt. Glenn Warrington of the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.The entire home had been turned into an illegal marijuana grow and it was estimated the theft of utilities for the last year cost Southern California Edison approximately $52,000, Warrington said.The house was deemed uninhabitable and pow
