Murrieta honors veterans with annual parade

Thousands flocked to historic downtown Murrieta for the city’s Veterans Day Parade Monday, Nov. 11. The annual event recognizes the city’s hometown heroes and all veterans, according to the city website, www.murrietaca.gov.Stepping off at 10 a.m. at the intersection of Ivy Street and Washington Avenue, the parade kicked off with a flyover by historic military planes and the national anthem and made its way to the annual Field of Honor at Town Square Park.Representatives from all branches of the military, high school marching bands, cheerleaders, military vehicles and city and county officials along with hot rods and motorcycles and a plethora of floats, all made their way down the parade route which was lined with parade-goers waving American flags cheering enthusiastically for
