Sheriff's deputies shot a man to death while responding to a call Saturday evening in Lake Elsinore.A report came in just after 5:20 p.m. about a man brandishing a weapon in the 3000 block of Ash Street, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department said via Twitter.Deputies headed to the scene, where they gave the man commands to drop his weapon. When the man refused, they opened fire, the sheriff's department said."The suspect was struck by the deputy’s gunfire and was immediately treated at the scene by additional deputies for his injuries," Deputy Robyn Flores, Public Information Officer for the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, said. "Fire and medical personnel were summoned, and life-saving measures were performed until the suspect was pronounced deceased at the scene.
