Anza Community Hall hosts Thanksgiving dinner

Foul weather, snow and icy roads delayed the annual Thanksgiving meal hosted by the Anza Community Hall and traditionally served Thanksgiving Day. The event was postponed until Sunday, Dec. 1.As Terry Crutchfield took the lead in organizing volunteers, the Community Hall filled with the scent of home cooking and beaming, smiling faces.The meal was prepared, served and cleaned up by members of Anza’s Friends Uniting Neighbors Group, Living Hope Church, the Anza Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and many other organizations.Anza Valley Gas donated funds to help cover expenses, while the Western Eagle Foundation contributed much of the food.“Each year a number of groups band together
