HS Football: Temecula Valley ends most successful season ever with CIF State Regional Bowl game appearance

The outcome of their final game wasn’t what they wanted, but the season was everything they could have asked for. The Temecula Valley High School Golden Bears took on the El Camino High School Wildcats at Herb Meyer Stadium Friday, Dec. 6, but fell 34-18 in their first ever CIF Division 3AA State Regional Bowl game. A win would have moved them on to this week’s state championship game, but that would have just been icing on the cake for head coach Bert Esposito and his team. Not only did every member of the Golden Bears team walk with their heads held high after that final game, but so did their fans.
